Beat the Heat with A/C

The heat has been almost unbearable this summer, and one of the places that heats up the most is your vehicle. Leaving the windows rolled down puts you at risk for theft, and with the humidity, doesn’t do much to cool down your vehicle’s interior. The fact is, the only way to keep cool during this sweltering summer months is with air conditioning.

The lifespan of a vehicle’s air conditioning system is limited, especially if it’s not serviced on a regular basis. The last thing you want is for your air conditioner to stop working this summer!

At RPM Automotive, their licensed technicians can inspect your air conditioning system to make sure that everything is working properly and to check for worn or broken parts.

Your vehicle’s air conditioning system is made up of six major components: compressor, refrigerant, condenser, expansion valve, evaporator and receiver/dryer. Each of the components is essential to keeping cold air blowing through your vents. There are also minor parts, such as hoses and seals that keep the cold air flowing. A small hole in a hose or a crack in a seal can cause the cold air to escape before it reaches you. These minor issues can be repaired before it becomes a bigger problem.

If RPM Automotives technicians find a problem or if your air conditioning has stopped working (or is not blowing as cold as it used to), they will talk to you about what needs to be done for it to be repaired. With your permission, they fix it and you can begin to enjoy summer driving again.

Don’t spend the summer melting in your car – call RPM Automotive and keep your cool instead!
